“BANDing Together for Hope” to Raise Money for Cancer Research Center

BANDing Together for Hope, a benefit for the Nebraska Cancer Research Center (www.necancerresearch.org), will be held April 27 from 9 p.m. to midnight at Rodizio Grill in The Haymarket. Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (LMEP) is currently looking for businesses who would like to help sponsor or donate to the event.

The Lincoln band, AM/FM, will perform at the event. There will also be a handful of raffle items available. Rodizio Grill has graciously agreed to share a portion of the bar proceeds with Nebraska Cancer Research Center as well. There will be a cover charge at the door.

This fundraiser will raise money for the Nebraska Cancer Research Center. Monies raised will support the mission of the Nebraska Cancer Research Center, which is to provide people local access to cutting edge research through clinical trials. Being able to stay home in your own community, surrounded by family and friends, while still being able to access promising new treatments, is the best case scenario for those fighting cancer.

Nebraska Cancer Research Center is a program of LMEP (www.lmep.com), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Over 2,100 volunteers have participated in treatment, prevention, and control trials through Nebraska Cancer Research Center over the past 35 years, helping to identify more effective cancer treatments and improve the quality of life for people with cancer. Nebraska Cancer Research Center partners with local hospitals and oncology clinics to provide cutting edge research through clinical trials.
