Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands (BBBSM) invites the community to lace up their bowling shoes and relive the magic of prom at Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2026, the organization’s signature annual fundraiser supporting one-to one youth mentoring.
This year’s theme, “Prom Night,” adds a fun, nostalgic twist to the beloved event. While corsages, tuxes, and dresses are optional, participants can expect an evening filled with music, laughter, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to empowering local youth. Instead of slow dances, attendees will celebrate mentorship by knocking down pins and raising critical funds that power life-changing matches between Bigs (mentors) and Littles (youth).
Bowl for Kids’ Sake will take place in both communities. The Lincoln event will be on May 1 at Sun Valley Lanes and the Omaha/Council Bluffs event will be from April 21-24 at Spare Time.
Funds raised through Bowl for Kids’ Sake directly support Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring program, helping recruit volunteers, provide ongoing match support, and ensuring youth have access to positive role models. With many young people still waiting to be matched with a mentor, community participation is more important than ever.
Teams, corporate partners, families, and individual supporters are encouraged to register, fundraise, and attend. No bowling expertise is required! Just a willingness to have fun and make a difference.
