The stars aren’t slowing down this fall—and neither is Branched Oak Observatory (www.theboo.org). As they launch into their second decade of bringing the universe closer to home, Branched Oak is excited to announce new fall operating hours and two stellar events that are guaranteed to send your curiosity into orbit. Their new operation hours are Saturdays from 6 to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
Explore the cosmos by night or safely observe the nearest star by day with their world-class telescopes, knowledgeable guides, and family-friendly atmosphere. On September 27, they will be hosting their 11th Annual StarBQ – A Galactic Celebration! This event starts at 5 p.m. and is packed with space-tacular fun. With 501st Legion Star Wars Characters, you can mingle with Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, and more! They will also have live music—featuring The Last Minute Band—food trucks and raffle prizes. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and they also offer a family ticket rate.
On October 4, Branched Oak Observatory will be hosting International Observe the Moon Night from 6 to 10 p.m. Celebrate the closest celestial neighbor with FREE admission to this international event. Peer through powerful telescopes, enjoy moon-themed activities, and see the lunar surface like never before. Donations gratefully accepted to support ongoing educational efforts.
