Bridges to Hope Announces Postponement of Freed for Life Annual Banquet
In concert with sponsors including Followers of Christ and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Prison Ministry, Bridges to Hope (bridgestohopene.org) recently announced postponement of the 2020 Freed for Life Annual Banquet. Originally on tap for November 8, pandemic restrictions forced the organizations to make the difficult decision to move the date for this crucial annual fundraiser. An alternate date has not yet been selected, so follow the organizations on social media (@BridgesToHopeLincolnNE, and @oslclincoln), and check their websites frequently to keep up-to-date on the evolving schedule.
Bridges to Hope’s mission is to provide services to men and women who have been released from incarceration and are making the transition to productive life outside of the cell. They provide clients with furniture, household goods, personal-hygiene products, and clothing at no cost to them. Their fundraising efforts include Bud’s Thrift Shoppe (2226 O St.), which helps generate money for the sustainability of the organization, and 100% of the proceeds from the store go directly back to fun Bridges to Hope, which is fully funded by generous community leaders.
Bridges to Hope is located at 3107 S 6th St., STE 107. For more information about the organization or to donate to the cause, visit bridgestohopene.org or contact Executive Director Rhonda Mattingly at (402) 420-5696 / Rhonda@bridgestohopene.org.
