Bright Lights Announces Program Weeks for Summer 2019

It might be cold out, but Bright Lights (BrightLights.org) is looking ahead to summer! Their classes are a great way for elementary and middle school students to maximize the fun of summer vacation while secretly allowing parents to know their children are avoiding learning loss.

Bright Lights will again be offering five weeks of quality learning programs to kindergarten through eighth-grade students this summer. The program weeks for Summer 2019 are June 3–7, June 10–14, June 17–21, June 24–28, and July 15–19.

Wondering what classes are available and when can you sign up? Bright Lights will release their 2019 class schedule in late February/early March. Students/parents should look through the approximately 100 half-day class and full-day camp choices, choose what interests them, and then register on the Bright Lights website, starting March 23. Scholarships can also be applied for during the registration process.

Holmes Elementary will be the main site for classes again this year (others take place at various community sites around Lincoln) with Before Care and Lunch Care services available at select sites. More details on these services can be found on the website.
