Bright Lights Releases Summer Camp Information and Registration Dates
Bright Lights (brightlights.org) has announced that their summer camp registration will open on Saturday, March 21, at 8 a.m. The half and full day camp schedules have already been made available to view online. Bright Light camps are an ideal way for elementary and middle school students to maximize the fun of summer vacation while secretly allowing parents to know their children are avoiding learning loss. The program weeks are as follows: June 1–5; June 8–12; June 15–19; June 22–26; and July 6–10.
Need-based scholarships will also be available this summer and can be applied for during the registration process. Additional information about the scholarship program can be found at brightlights.org/programs/resources/scholarships.html.
In addition, Bright Lights will be accepting applications for camp assistants starting March 2. These are volunteer positions available to high school students, college students, and adults. They will provide support to teachers in each of Bright Lights’ 100+ camps, enriching the experience for campers.
Bright Lights is a nonprofit that takes learning beyond the classroom by providing youth with unique hands-on learning opportunities since 1987. Each summer, Bright Lights services more than 1,000 students through their half-day classes and full-day camps. Need-based scholarships are awarded each year.
