Bright Lights (BrightLights.org) Summer Learning Adventures, the popular, longstanding Lincoln nonprofit, announced their 2025 camp registration opens this Saturday, March 1, at 8 a.m. at BrightLights.org.
Bright Lights has been offering hands-on, STEAM-infused summer learning experiences for students in K-8th grades for almost 40 years. Half-day and full-day camp topics range from art and science to robotics, literature, engineering, culinary and more. STEAM = Science, technology, engineering, art + math.
The 2025 summer camps will take place over five weeks: June 2-6, June 9-13, June 16-20, June 23-27 and July 7-11. Roper Elementary School, 2323 S. Coddington Avenue, will be the main site with additional community locations around Lincoln. Before Care and Lunch Care services are also available at select locations.
With just over 100 half-day and full-day camps to choose from this summer – 40 of them new! – there is bound to be something of interest for almost every student. A few of the new camps include:
- Fossil Frontiers
- History of Video Games
- The Science of the Sport: STEM and Tennis
- Shimmer Time: Gem Art
There will also be returning favorites such as Hogwarts, French Cooking and LEGO® Robotics. Get more information on their website at BrightLights.org/camp/camplist.
Need-based scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available at brightlights.org/scholarships. For a complete schedule, more information and to register, visit BrightLights.org.
