Bright Lights to Bring Camp to Students this Summer

Bright Lights (BrightLights.org) has amended their summer camp plans for 2020 and now will be bringing select camps straight to students! Bright Lights values safety as much as it does summer learning, so they are continuing to do their part to slow and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. As a result, Bright Lights will not be having live, in-person camps this summer.

Instead, they are going to be flipping things around and bringing select Bright Lights camps straight to students, virtually. These “flipside” camps are free, courtesy of Bright Lights and their generous donors!

While Bright Lights is disappointed not to be holding camps in their regular fashion this summer, they are excited to be able to try something new during this time.

“We are choosing to make lemonade out of lemons and turn this into a great opportunity for our students, our program, and our community,” said Bright Lights Executive Director Laurie Paulsen. “We are really looking forward to catching students on the flipside this summer!”

Bright Lights Summer Learning Adventures has been bringing unique, motivating, hands-on learning opportunities to kindergarten through eighth-grade students for more than 30 years. This Lincoln-based nonprofit believes in the power of STEAM-based summer learning and that it should be fun.
