CBMC Lincoln Offers Connecting Point Online Discussion Groups

CBMC Lincoln (Lincoln.cbmc.com) recently launched new initiative with the start of Connecting Point online discussion groups. While most CBMC face-to-face meetings have restarted, the Connecting Point groups offer a new opportunity to connect in a convenient and effective way. Meetings are held weekly for six or more weeks, consist of five to eight men, and require no travel time since they are conducted over Zoom. They are 45 minutes long and include a devotional, discussion and sharing, and a closing prayer. Individuals can share from current experiences, challenges, or opportunities that may help others in the group. Additional support and discussion opportunities can be available outside of the group meeting.

Families, businesses, and organizations are adjusting to the “new normal” resulting from the COVID-19 crisis. This “new normal” continues to evolve as businesses and society gradually open up again. CBMC, like many other organizations during the shutdown, moved most face-to-face activities into a virtual domain. Isolation has increased dramatically during COVID-19 and can be discouraging, demotivating, and even destructive. A Connecting Point group offers an alternative by providing community, mutual support, and helpful input, centered around Christian principles.

CBMC Lincoln is part of a global CBMC ministry that helps those in the marketplace not only grapple with these uncertain times but points them to the support and answers that God can provide. They encourage men toward spiritual development, personal integrity, principled leadership, and a desire to impact others.
