CBMC’s Understanding Worldviews Workshop Set for March 20 at Carol Joy Holling Center
CBMC Lincoln (Lincoln.cbmc.com/events) is excited to host a workshop with renowned speaker, author, and Zig Ziglar protégé, Krish Dhanam on Saturday, March 20. On tap for 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carol Joy Holling Center near Ashland, the workshop is titled “Understanding Worldviews: Learning about Comparisons, Contrasts and Contradictions to the Infallible Word of God.” The term “worldview” is usually offered as a less toxic substitute for the word “religion” and includes thoughts and ideas that emanate from philosophical constructs which shape and guide humanity. The Understanding Worldviews workshop is an in-depth look into all the prominent belief systems permeating the landscape and how they compare with Christianity.
Krish has collated definitions and discussions that define some of the most prominent thought offerings globally. In this interactive session, he will put each of those views alongside the Bible. Participants will learn what others believe, re-learn what they believe, and leave with a better understanding of their beliefs and other worldviews. The ability to know and understand what others believe will increase preparedness to engage in civil discussions about Christianity and other worldviews.
Krish Dhanam was born and educated in India. Equipped with an MBA and $9 in his pocket, he migrated to the U.S. in 1986 with his bride, Anila. He won a sales contest and ticket to a seminar conducted by legendary motivator Zig Ziglar. Krish joined the Ziglar Corporation in 1991 and eventually became their VP of Global Operations. Through training, teaching and facilitating seminars all over the world, Krish launched his professional speaking career. Personally trained by Zig Ziglar, Krish has spoken in over 50 countries and his client list is the Who’s Who of global enterprise.
