Child Guidance Center in Need of Donations for Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Will you help give a child a special Thanksgiving dinner?

On Tuesday, November 21st, Child Guidance Center (www.child-guidance.org) is hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner for the children and families of its Extended Day Treatment Program. This program operates five days a week, year round, and provides therapeutic services for children, ages 5 – 12, who need help with emotional regulation and social skills so that they can be successful in school, in the community, in their home settings and life in general.

This dinner is something that the children who participate in the Extended Day Treatment Program enjoy with their families and our staff each year. Sometimes this dinner is the only Thanksgiving Dinner that they have. Another highlight of this dinner is that the staff makes enough extra food to send home leftovers with families so they can enjoy their own Thanksgiving meal at home too.

To make a contribution to help purchase three turkeys and all of the fixings that make a Thanksgiving Dinner great, please go to www.child-guidance.org or mail your check to Child Guidance Center at 2444 “O” Street, Lincoln, NE 68510. For more information, please contact Jenny Cardwell at jcardwell@child-guidance.org / (402) 475-7666. Thank you.
