Many of the participants in Community Action‘s (www.communityactionatwork.org) Homelessness Prevention programs enter new homes without the costly supplies they need. Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties’ Welcome Home Donation Drive is seeking basic home supplies to help participants reach their goals as they exit homelessness and enter a new home.
Community Action is accepting new donations of the following items: silverware, dish sets, drinking glasses, food storage containers, towels/wash cloths (kitchen and bathroom), bed sheets (twin, full, queen preferred), pillows, cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, sponges, sprays, etc.), trash bags, plungers, laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash cans, laundry baskets and shower curtains with hooks/rings.
Community Action will accept new or gently used donations of the following items: pots/pans, hangers, clocks, lamps and home decor.
Donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Community Action’s office at 210 O St. Items can also be ordered from an Amazon wish list via the QR code and shipped directly to Community Action.
