Community Health Charities of Nebraska Announces Community Choice Grant

In celebration of the organization’s upcoming name change and rebrand campaign, effective July 1, 2019, Community Health Charities of Nebraska, soon to be CHAD (Combined Health Agencies Drive), will award one of its 22 member charities the first-ever Community Choibce Grant through the Curt Gordon Memorial Foundation. This $1,000 award can be used by the charity recipient in any way they see fit to support their mission. The winner of the grant will be decided by community vote on the organization’s web site, www.chcne.org, with the requirement that all who vote also connect with the organization on social media (@CHADNebraska). Voting will begin on Wednesday, March 6, at 12:01 a.m. and run through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 15.

Eligible charities are those who are part of the workplace giving federation and include: The ALS Association Mid-America Chapter; Alzheimer’s Association Nebraska Chapter; American Diabetes Association of Nebraska; American Lung Association in Nebraska; Arthritis Foundation Nebraska; Autism Action Partnership; Brain Injury Alliance of Nebraska; Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Nebraska/Iowa Chapter; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Nebraska Chapter; JDRF International – Heartland Chapters; Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Nebraska Chapter; March of Dimes, Nebraska & Western Iowa Market; Muscular Dystrophy Association of Nebraska; National MS Society – Mid America Chapter; Nebraska AIDS Project; Nebraska Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation; Nebraska Community Blood Bank; Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association; Nebraska Kidney Association; Susan G. Komen® Great Plains; Team Jack Foundation; and United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska.
