The Cornhusker Council, Scouting America (cornhuskercouncil.org) is excited to kick off its annual 2026 Popcorn Sale, running Sept 4 – Oct. 20, giving the community an opportunity to support local Scouts while enjoying delicious, Nebraska-made popcorn.
Each year, Scouts across southeast Nebraska participate in the popcorn sale to earn their way to camp, high-adventure experiences, leadership training, and year-round Scouting activities. By selling popcorn, scouts learn valuable skills in goal setting, communication, entrepreneurship and financial responsibility.
This year’s popcorn is produced by Colby Ridge. The popcorn flavors are made using corn grown by local farmers, making every purchase an investment in both local youth and Nebraska agriculture.
“The popcorn sale is much more than a fundraiser,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Scout Executive/CEO of the Cornhusker Council. “It teaches young people responsibility, confidence, and the value of hard work while helping them earn the funds needed to participate in life-changing Scouting adventures.”
Proceeds from the sale stay with local Scouting units to fund Scouting experiences, along with helping out the Cornhusker Council—Your local Council serving 16 Counties in Southeast Nebraska!
You can support Scouts by purchasing popcorn from them throughout the community, at neighborhood storefront sales, or online during the campaign. Every purchase helps ensure youth have access to the unforgettable experiences and leadership opportunities that Scouting provides.
