Disrupting Traffick’s resource center is open and serving clients in its new location at 1625 N Street. Their dedication to preventing sexual exploitation through community education, outreach, and practical support is paired with a brick and mortar location that serves clients with tangible resources. Disrupting Traffick operates from a simple but powerful belief: traffickers exploit unmet needs, and when those needs are met, prevention begins.
The resource center offers no strings attached support through supplies such as food, clothing, and hygiene items as well as offers a private trauma- informed space to meet with a Client Advocate. Along with their new location, an addition was made to their resource center staff in November. Nichole Palmer joins the team as an Executive Assistant bringing over 25 years of nonprofit experience to the grassroots organization. Leveraging existing resources through networking with organizations in Lincoln is a passion that Nichole sees as a necessity to offering clients a multitude of services.
The team at Disrupting Traffick recognizes the compassion and generosity community members bring to Lincoln organizations through volunteering as well as in-kind and monetary donations allowing these resources to be available to meet community members where they are at on their individualized journey. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in the Disrupting Traffick resource center, please contact Nichole at nichole@disruptingtraffick.org.
