Domesti-PUPS Congratulates 2021 Pet Therapy Graduates

Domesti-PUPS (domesti-pups.org) is excited to announce 10 individuals and their dogs recently received their certification to provide pet therapy visitations. The certification includes the American Kennel Club’s (AKC) Community Canine designation. The graduates spent the last five months in training. These teams will visit nursing homes, assisted living centers, classrooms, and special events where they are invited. The new 2021 graduates include: Jennifer Bass and Wilford, Jensyn Burchett and Oakley, Amy Canine and Hope, LaVonne Hanlon and Tychus, Abbie Huenink and Remington, Anna McVay and Juice, Jacey Prange and Spice, Molly Preston and Wilson, Ciaran Riley and Rosin, Alyssa Schmidt and Rosin, and Amy Carcoski and Nick.

Each Domesti-PUPS team is required to complete the AKC Community Canine test every two years for recertification. There were many teams that put in the effort to maintain the high stands for therapy work this year as well.

Based in Lincoln, Domesti-PUPS is a community organization that provides therapy dogs, service dogs for persons with disabilities, and obedience trained rescue dogs. They have a mission to improve the quality of life for those with special needs through the assistance of animals and to promote awareness through education.
