Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (dsafnebraska.org) is proud to announce a new cooking class titled “Cooking with Kristi!” The class is designed to meet the needs of neuro-diverse students. The goals of the class include:
- Preparing meals: tools & ingredients using visual aids
- Food safety: checking for expiration and freshness of ingredients
- Kitchen tools: using appropriately & safely
- Cleaning dishes & workspaces
The classes take place on Monday, November 18 and Monday, December 2, 6-7 p.m. at Newman United Methodist Church, 2242 R St.
