DSAF Hosts Drive-Thru Holiday Party with Santa, Sponsors Bring Holiday Cheer

Down Syndrome Association for Families (DSAF, dsafnebraska.org/events) of Nebraska hosted a Drive-Thru Holiday Party with Santa on December 12 in the Dental Designs parking lot. The event saw over 40 cars, bringing with them 150 people, 75 of whom were children. Each car received a box of Lamar’s donuts, Rock ‘n’ Joe coffee and hot chocolate, cookie decorating kits from Cindy’s Cakes, and gift bags for every child with items donated by Culver’s, Enable Savings Plan, Runza, Q2, and West Gate Bank. DSAF is thankful to these businesses for helping to bring holiday cheer during these times.

“In a year when COVID has taken so much from us, it was nice to be able give back to families raising a child with Down syndrome,” said Mary Sweeney, Marketing and Development Director. “Thanks to all who helped DSAF spread some cheer!”

The Down Syndrome Association for Families formed in 1995 as a way for parents to network and share the accomplishments of their children. The organization’s mission is to provide support and a positive vision for the future for individuals with Down syndrome and their families, friends, educators, and professionals who share in their lives.
