DSAF Raises Over $87K at 2019 Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk

The Down Syndrome Association for Families (DSAF) of Nebraska (www.dsafnebraska.org) held their 18th Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk on October 5. Over $87,000 was raised, which will go towards developing further programming that will benefit individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. More than 60 teams registered for the walk and 1,200 people were in attendance!

Many new partnerships were added to this year’s event, and the organization would like to give a special shout out to the Bathtub Dogs, Cheer Xpress Sunshine Cheer Team, McKenzie JaLynn, Der Veiner Schlinger, Complete Music, Theater Arts for Kids, Joseph’s College of Beauty, the Lincoln Police Department, the Lincoln Fire Department, The Waffle Man, Rock ‘n’ Joe Coffee Bar, and the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department. A special thanks also goes out to the Enable Saving Plan for being the Signature Sponsor.
