Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska (DSAF,www.ds-stride.org/dsafstepup) is having its 20th anniversary for the Capital City’s Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk, set for Saturday, October 2 at Antelope Park. Located at Normal Blvd. and A St., festivities will begin at 8 a.m. with the walk to follow at 9:30 a.m. DSAF expects around 1,200 people to be in attendance to enjoy the live music, food, entertainment, and a morning of celebrating the lives of our loved ones and friends with Down syndrome.
Teams fundraise for months prior to the walk to earn fact posters for their loved ones with Down syndrome, who are featured on posters along the walk route. If you are interested in registering for the walk, or if you would like to have a sponsorship or make a donation, visit www.ds-stride.org/dsafstepup.
