WasteCap Nebraska will hold a Green Team Roundtable at Kaplan University, 1821 K Street in Lincoln on Wednesday, October 9. Craig Steward, manager of EcoStores Nebraska will share the history, achievements and future direction of EcoStores Nebraska. The organization has diverted over 1,200 tons of building and remodeling materials from the Bluff Road Landfill since 2004 and provided high-quality used building materials for builders, property managers, homeowners and hobbyists. Sponsored by U.S. Bank, the meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost is $10, or $8 for WasteCap Nebraska members and includes a zero-waste lunch provided by Sinbad’s Restaurant. Prior to the Roundtable meeting, a facilitated community meeting will be conducted to discuss Habitat for Humanity’s plan to create a Habitat Re-Store in Lincoln.
