Families Inspiring Families Offers Two Weekly Support Groups for Parents

Families Inspiring Families (familiesinspiringfamilies.org) is actively doing its part to provide comfort and positive outlets during these difficult times by hosting two weekly virtual support groups for parents. On Mondays from 5 to 6 p.m., you can log onto Zoom for the Surviving COVID group, which is an opportunity for parents to connect with other parents, receive support, and get information on available resources. In addition, on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., there is a Hope Support group online for parents who may have possible suicide concerns regarding their children. By starting the conversation and directing aid to those who need it, Families Inspiring Families can help prevent suicides and save lives. This group is sponsored by a SAMSHA grant (partnership with Region V Systems, SAMSHA grant Number 1H79SMo82134, Suicide Prevention, DHHS, UNL Policy Center).

The mission of Families Inspiring Families is to empower families to find hope for their future. They do this by promoting a positive future for families who have children with emotional and/or behavioral health concerns by providing support, knowledge, and skills through various programs and services.
