The Food Bank of Lincoln was recently notified the organization had received a four star rating from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management.

This is the second consecutive four-star rating for the Food Bank’s ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances. Only 20% of the charities rated have received at least two consecutive four-star evaluations, indicating that the Food Bank of Lincoln consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.

The mission of the Food Bank of Lincoln is to alleviate huger in southeast Nebraska. The Food Bank provides food to 62 agencies and serves 16 counties in southeast Nebraska. The organization has set distribution records each month for the past six months, and anticipates the distribution of over 6 million pounds of grocery products this year.
