Foster Care Closet of Nebraska (fostercarecloset.org) is proud to announce its inaugural fundraising gala, Tailored for Tomorrow, set to take place on October 20, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Seven Willows in Hickman. The evening promises elegance and purpose, with all proceeds directly supporting foster youth across the state.
Entering its 20th year, Foster Care Closet provides new, seasonally appropriate clothing to children in the foster care system, offering each youth a full, personalized wardrobe twice a year. With a cost of approximately $700 annually to serve one child, the organization reaches hundreds of youth through events in Lincoln, North Platte, Scottsbluff, Norfolk and beyond.
Guests at the gala will enjoy the Colors of Hope cocktail hour where they can browse silent auction items, enjoy a dinner prepared by ChefauChef, desserts from ET’s Sweets, and hear a heartfelt message from Founding Director Leigh Esau about the organization’s mission and impact.
Tickets are $50 and available online. Guests may also support the event by becoming sponsors or donating items for the silent auction.
The Tailored for Tomorrow Gala marks a new chapter for Foster Care Closet, as it continues to build dignity, confidence and hope for children navigating the foster system in Nebraska.
