Friendship Home (friendshiphome.org/how-you-can-help/events/) has announced the launch of its new Stand with Survivors fundraising campaign in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This fresh effort replaces the longtime Safe Quarters fundraiser and invites the community to come together in a new way to raise critical support for survivors of domestic violence.
Through the campaign, participants are encouraged to create personal fundraising pages, share them with friends and family, and inspire others to donate or even start their own page. The campaign emphasizes that every voice and every page can make a difference. Just $50 raised can provide a safe night of shelter for a survivor and their children.
Funds raised will directly support Friendship Home’s mission to provide shelter, advocacy, and safety for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Founded in 1978, Friendship Home has served the Lincoln community for over 45 years, offering emergency shelter, transitional housing and rapid rehousing programs. Last year alone, the organization’s services touched thousands of lives, providing survivors with safety, dignity and hope for a future free from abuse.
The Stand with Survivors campaign runs through Oct. 31. For more information or to create a fundraising page, visit (friendshiphome.org/how-you-can-help/events/).
