Friendship Home (friendshiphome.org) invites the Lincoln community to support the 24th annual Stuff the Bus event benefiting domestic violence survivors and their children on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. The event is being held in partnership with StarTran and Alpha Media Radio Stations. Stuff the Bus is a community-wide effort to stuff four StarTran buses full of new items needed for the families served at Friendship Home. The items received will stock their shelves for the coming year.
Volunteers will be handing out needs lists with a variety of items and price ranges at all Lincoln area Walmart and Sam’s Clubs locations as well as stuffing busses from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday. Volunteer opportunities are perfect for families, friends, co-workers, high school/college students, and other community organizations. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Kelsey Pauling at kelseyp@friendshiphome.org, or Whitney Wegner at whitneyw@friendshiphome.org.
