Thanks to businesses, organizations and individuals, Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) provided Thanksgiving meals and gifts to survivors served at Friendship Home this holiday season. Friendship Home appreciates all the Lincoln community does to support domestic violence survivors year-round, especially during the holidays. Your generosity gives hope to survivors as well as holiday spirit.
The holidays can seem impossible for a survivor of domestic violence. At Friendship Home, they strive to make the lives of those they serve easier. Every survivor and their children at Friendship Home receive Christmas gifts donated by generous community members. This year, 35 families received presents. Because so many presents are received each year, Friendship Home is able to provide birthday gifts and other gifts to residents throughout the year. They could not do this without your generosity.
Friendship Home provides crisis services, emergency shelter and transitional housing to victims of domestic violence and their children. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing domestic violence, please call Friendship Home’s 24/7 crisis line at (402) 437-9302. To learn more, visit www.friendshiphome.org.
