General Fire & Safety is set to host their 2nd Annual Mustache Ride on June 6th.  This event is a bicycle ride and pub crawl which is raising donations to support the Food Bank of Lincoln BackPack Program, which provides kids who may not have access to nutritious meals over the weekend a backpack full of food to take home from school on Fridays.  Currently, the BackPack Program sends over 3,500 backpacks home to students on Friday afternoons in 36 Lincoln Public Schools, 5 Lincoln Catholic schools and 39 rural communities in southeast Nebraska.

The stops on the Mustache Ride will be The Red Fox, Single Barrel, Sweep Left and Longwell’s, who have also signed on as sponsors of the event and have donated to the cause.  Wayne’s Body Shop also made a $250 donation, and has issued a friendly challenge for local businesses to match or beat their donation.  Those who are interested may show their support by donating, riding, and/or purchasing customized t-shirts and hats.  Those who wish to donate to the BackPack program after this event are encouraged to do so via the website at lincolnfoodbank.org or send them directly to: Food Bank of Lincoln, 4840 Doris Bair Circle Suite A, Lincoln, NE 68504-1465.
