Lighthouse (www.lincolnlighthouse.org) is excited to announce the upcoming public viewing and auction event for its ILLUMINATING LINCOLN: LIGHTHOUSE public art project in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

A public viewing of all 51 Light Bulbs will be held on the Haymarket Concourse on Thursday, October 8th from 4-9 p.m. This family friendly event with feature activities for children, concessions, a commemorative book ($20) about the project, a Makers Market with artisans and businesses selling what they have created – all inspired by the public art project – with each vendor donating 25% (symbolizing the 25th Anniversary) to Lighthouse.

Following the public viewing event, the Light Bulbs will be auctioned off on Friday, October 9th – doors will open at 5 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6:30 p.m.

All are encouraged to visit Haymarket Park to see the 51 6’ ILLUMINATING LINCOLN LIGHTHOUSE Light Bulb sculptures will be displayed around the Haymarket’s concourse and presented for auction. Whether you attend to bid in hopes of buying a Light Bulb, or simply want to watch the excitement of Lincoln’s premier fundraising event of 2015, all are welcome to attend this admission-free event!
