Honey Sunday Benefitting The Arc of Lincoln Set for November 7

The Arc of Lincoln (advocacypartnership.org)’s annual Honey Sunday fundraiser will take place on Sunday, November 7. The Arc will be selling 12 ounce honey bear bottles for $6, or a case of 12 honey bear bottles for $65. The honey sold is locally produced in Lincoln and comes from Valhalla Bee Farm. The Arc will accept cash, Venmo, or check for payment.

Honey Sunday is a national fundraiser for Arc chapters around the United States, and the funds raised will go to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in the Lincoln and Lancaster County areas. The Arc of Lincoln hopes to have volunteers selling honey at several retail locations in Lincoln for Honey Sunday, and they encourage you to visit their Facebook page for specific stores as the date draws closer. Starting October 15, those who would prefer to order honey ahead of time can email Michelle Johnson at director@arclincoln.org. The Arc will deliver honey bears to those who place an order for two or more.

Incorporated by a group of parents in 1967, The Arc of Lincoln encourages and provides opportunities for those with developmental disabilities to lead productive lives and achieve their full potential. Their vision for the future is to live in a caring, inclusive community where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are embraced and offered encouragement, support, security, and opportunity.
