I’ve Got a Name to Launch Online Store with Apparel Promoting Sex-Trafficking Awareness
Lincoln nonprofit I’ve Got a Name (ivegotaname.org) recently announced that it soon will be launching an online store to sell branded apparel with a variety of designs and phrases to promote awareness of the sex-trafficking epidemic in Nebraska. The store—which will be temporary—mostly will comprise t-shirts, but they also are looking to have stickers and other small awareness products. When they set a date for the launch, there will be a window of time for people to place orders, then the nonprofit will fulfill orders, ship them out, and take down the online store. If all goes well, they might do it again down the road!
I’ve Got a Name’s mission with the online store and products is to spark conversations in communities where the apparel is worn. When someone is wearing a t-shirt with an eye-catching phrase, it draws questions from people who see it, and I’ve Got a Name wants to have those conversations and raise awareness about sex trafficking in Nebraska, where 900 girls—many of them 12, 13, and 14 years old—are sold for sex every month!
I’ve Got a Name protects those who are vulnerable and becomes a voice for victims of sex trafficking. They also help the public learn to identify sex trafficking and become engaged to fight it. For more information, visit ivegotaname.org or email info@ivegotaname.org.
