JDRF Announces Virtual Talks and Teen Sessions to Connect Diabetes Community
The Nebraska/Iowa chapter of JDRF (jdrf.org/nebraskaiowa) announced that its next Virtual Talk is on tap for 7-8 p.m. on January 12, aimed at connecting the type 1 diabetes community. Also on a virtual platform, the Empower1 JDRF Teen Virtual Talk is scheduled for 7-8 p.m. on January 14, aimed at connecting the adolescent (middle- and high-school aged) type 1 diabetes community. The February Virtual Talk is scheduled for February 9, and the Empower1 Teen Virtual Talk is set for February 11.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. JDRF was founded in 1970, and the local chapter currently serves Nebraska and Iowa. The chapter has sustained an impressive track record in community outreach, public awareness, advocating for government action to provide a support structure for our community, and raising funds for type 1 diabetes research.
