JDRF Celebrates Success of Their 2020 Promise Gala
On February 22, JDRF (jdrf.org/Nebraska) partnered with Aviture, a technology consulting firm specializing in providing actionable insights through software platforms, to host their 2020 Promise Gala. Over 1,000 guests attended to show their support to JDRF’s leading research in finding a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). The event featured expansive live and silent auctions, cocktail reception, dinner with wine service, and JDRF’s signature Fund A Cure program, during which contributions were directly made to research. Following the program, guests enjoyed a full concert by southern rock icons, 38 Special. Nikki Boulay and Jennifer Griswold served as the evening’s hosts.
The Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area has shown such incredible support for the T1D community. In the past three years alone, the JDRF Promise Gala has raised more than $5 million to cure, treat, and prevent this disease. The money raised is driving research to improve the lives of all those with diabetes.
JDRF is the world’s largest private funder of T1Dresearch. Their mission is to improve lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat T1D and its complications. JDRF has invested more than $2.2 billion in research to find cures for T1D, while improving lives today through advocacy and community engagement. Learn more at jdrf.org/Nebraska.
