Join in on Hop, SCIP, Jump and RUN June 4

The School Community Intervention & Prevention (SCIP, vhotsenpillar@lmep.com) annual fundraiser, “Hop, SCIP, Jump and RUN,” brought to you by Family Health & Wellness Center, P.C., returns this year after a one-year absence due to COVID-19. The event is scheduled for June 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Antelope Park. It’s a great family-friendly event with activity booths run by volunteers and others sponsored by local nonprofits, including Child Advocacy Center, the Malone Center, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, to name just a few. Julie’s Hot Dogs food truck will also be on-site, and the 1-mile Fun Run for kids and adults begins at 7 p.m.!

Registration for the Fun Run is $15, but the event is FREE for people who aren’t running but want to participate in other activities! If you visit a minimum of 10 booths, you can enter a drawing for prizes from businesses including the Lincoln Escape Room, Omaha Storm Chasers, Adventure Golf, Bright Lights, Scheel’s, Corky Canvas, Raising Cane’s, Sun Valley Lanes, Tiger Rock Academy, Papio Fun Park, and several fast-food establishments. The top three winners of the 1-Mile Fun Run for runners ages 18 and younger will also be awarded prizes. On-site registration for the Fun Run will be available the day of the event or you can register online at scipnebraska.com until 3 p.m. on June 2.

School Community Intervention & Prevention works with schools statewide by providing tools and resources to address behavioral and emotional health issues that impact children, adolescents, and their families. Money raised at this event will help SCIP provide needed resources to schools and families in need. Direct questions to Valerie Hotsenpillar at vhotsenpillar@lmep.com / (402) 327-6843.
