Keep Nebraska Beautiful (KNB) (knb.org) has added an exciting new service to its Nebraska School Chemical Cleanout Program. In addition to hazardous chemical disposal, Nebraska schools can now receive professional inventory services for their chemistry closets.
The program addresses hazardous legacy materials found in school science labs and storage closets. KNB provides the expertise to plan a cleanout and covers up to 90% of the cost to inventory a school’s chemical storage, then safely remove and dispose of old, unwanted, toxic or dangerous chemicals. This proactive approach eliminates a significant liability for schools and, most importantly, creates a safer environment for students and teachers.
KNB is committed to helping all Nebraska schools safely manage and dispose of lab chemicals. By ensuring responsible chemical handling and disposal, schools can protect students, staff and the environment.
