Kids’ Chance of Nebraska Given $40K from Workers’ Compensation Association

Kids’ Chance of Nebraska (www.kidschanceofne.org) was recently presented with a generous donation of $40,000 from the Workers’ Compensation Association of Nebraska. The Association presented the check to Kids’ Chance of Nebraska at their annual Nebraska Symposium, a two-day event that was held October 24–25 and featured multiple courses and panels by experts from across Nebraska and the Midwest. The evening before the symposium, Kids’ Chance of Nebraska held their Wine & Indian Food Fundraiser, which turned out to be a very successful event.

In 2019, Kids’ Chance of Nebraska has given out 15 scholarships totaling $63,750. All of this couldn’t be done without the ongoing support of the Workers’ Compensation Association of Nebraska and other sponsors who aid in their fundraising efforts.

The Mission of Kids’ Chance of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and their mission is to provide financial support to further the education of the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely injured, totally disabled, or killed as a result of employment-related injuries or occupational diseases. It is the goal of Kids’ Chance of Nebraska to make a difference in the lives of these children by providing scholarships to help eligible students achieve both their educational goals and their families’ dreams.
