Kids’ Chance Welcomes New Corporate Donor and Invites Applications for Scholarships

Kids’ Chance of Nebraska (www.kidschanceofne.org) recently partnered with Michael Foods, an Associate Level Partner, who will donate $10,000 over the course of four years. The money donated will allow to give more kids the chance to obtain a post-secondary education. Kids’ Chance invites all who qualify for one of their scholarships to take advantage of the generosity of donors such as Michael Foods and apply for a scholarship today.

Kids’ Chance provides scholarships to children whose parents have suffered a workplace injury or death. Kids’ Chance is living by their name—they’re giving kids a chance. Scholarship applications can be accessed online and are due April 15. Kids’ Chance exists because workers’ compensation pays the medical expenses and lost wages when a worker is injured on the job but fails to take into account the costs of post-secondary education for children of the injured worker.

Kids’ Chance of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide financial support to further the education of the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely injured, totally disabled, or killed as a result of employment-related injuries or occupational diseases. Email kidschanceofnebraska@gmail.com with any questions or go online to www.kidschanceofne.org to apply for eligible students, no matter the age of the children.
