Larry the Cable Guy recently held the inaugural Git-R-Done Golf Classic on June 1st and 2nd at Yankee Hill Country Club in Lincoln, NE to raise money for local charities.  The event, which included a dinner, auction and celebrity paired round of golf, raised over $150,000.  The money will support a number of different things including the purchase of a pediatric FES bike for Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, children’s vaccines for The People’s City Mission Free Clinic and a soon to be announced equine therapy project.

The dinner and auction featured a replica General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard, redneck wine glasses, and used tires as décor.  Guests loved the hometown feel and the opportunity to mingle in an intimate setting with celebrities like Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty, PGA’s Boo Weekley, Bruce Hall, Dave Amato and Bryan Hitt of REO Speedwagon, Nebraska Greats Eric Crouch and Tommie Frazier plus many others.  The evening concluded with the crowd singing along as Larry treated them to his version of C.W. McCall’s “Convoy”.

Sold out a month in advance, The Git-R-Done Golf Classic will be the flagship event of Larry’s charity, The Git-R-Done Foundation.
