Why sleep when the Universe is putting on a show? Join the Branched Oak Observatory (branchedoakobservatory.com) on March 13 for an unforgettable late night under the stars, where participants will trade yawns for gasps of wonder!

It will be a total lunar eclipse—when the moon slips into Earth’s shadow, turning a deep, otherworldly red! Enjoy this “Blood Moon” and the following itinerary:

Arrive and settle in: 11 p.m.

Watch the moon enter Earth’s shadow: 12 a.m.

Totality begins—Prepare to be awestruck: 1:27 a.m.

Totality ends—but the magic continues: 2:33 a.m.

Hot cocoa and coffee will be available to keep everyone wide-eyed and ready for the celestial splendor.

There will also be a Deep Space Exploration opportunity where participants will peer through the Branched Oak’s powerful telescopes and gaze at distant galaxies, shimmering star clusters and colorful nebulae.

This is a night for dreamers, stargazers and all those who dare to defy bedtime in the name of wonder. Bring a blanket, dress warmly and join the Branched Oak for some Late Night Lunacy!

There is an admission fee for this event, $10 adults and $5 for children five to 15 years old. However, it is free for astronomers setting up equipment to share their views with the public. These admission fees help preserve the present and plan for the future, so the Branched Oak thanks everyone in advance for their support!
