Lincoln Northeast Sertoma Club (www.northeastsertoma.org) is proud to announce that Lee Bring is the club’s Sertoman of the year.
A 30-year member, Lee holds the club record for number of perfect attendance years. He is, and has been for many years, the club treasurer. Additionally, Lee organizes and leads members in carrying out the club’s many service projects in which members personally participate like highway and trail trash pickup, lawn cleaning for those in need and Halloween trunk/treat for Norwood Park children.
Also taking place at the award ceremony was election of officers: Sharon Cunning, Board Chair; Harry Wimer, President; Jim Becker, President-Elect; Suzanne Frasier, Secretary; Lee Bring, Treasurer; and Jim Becker, Sergeant-At-Arms. The following people were elected to the board of directors: Harlan Parish, Cathy Becker, Ken Westerhold, Ken Carlson, Maxine Bishop, Donna Magwire, and Sharon Cunning.
Ken Gettman, Cathy & Jim Becker, Lee Bring, Suzanne Frasier, Donna Magwire, Jerry Pigsley and Harry Wimer were honored for perfect attendance this year. Membership longevity awards, in 5 year increments, were presented to Ken Carlson (5), Earl Griffin and Kent Sprague (25), Cathy & Jim Becker and Lee Bring (30).
Lincoln Northeast Sertoma (www.northeastsertoma.org) has a 45 year history of meeting community needs through volunteer service. In addition to improving life for those impacted by hearing loss, the club annually donates $28,000 to more than 15 organizations doing good in our community.
