In 2024, Lincoln Bike Kitchen (lincolnbikekitchen.org) reached its goal with 1,500 donated bikes, an incredible milestone for the nonprofit. Since its opening in October in the Telegraph district, more than 35 volunteers have joined the organization, making it easier for them to provide bikes and related resources for those in need throughout the Lincoln area. They advocate for utilitarian bicycling as a vital part of a healthy, equitable and sustainable community. They connect cycling to broader environmental and social issues through outreach and education, and with your help, they can continue this progress in 2025.

The Lincoln Bike Kitchen empowers people in the local community of Lincoln by actively promoting and advocating for cycling. It is run entirely by volunteers and supported by donations (bikes, parts, tools, money) from the community.

Cycling can be a fun, healthy, environmentally-friendly, and cost effective mode of transportation. They believe that it should be made safe and available for everyone who wants to be a “biker. Learn more and support their mission at lincolnbikekitchen.org.
