Lincoln Community Foundation Celebrates 10 Years of Success via Give to Lincoln Day

Lincoln Community FoundationThe stage is set for the 10th annual Give to Lincoln Day on Tuesday, May 25. Coordinated by the Lincoln Community Foundation (LCF, GiveToLincoln.com), in partnership with local nonprofit organizations, the annual event has raised more than $33 million for local nonprofits in its nine-year history.

“Give to Lincoln Day represents the strength and compassion of our community,” said LCF President Barbara Bartle. “We’ve seen from the past nine years that when Lincoln comes together big things can happen. The modern symbol for the 10th anniversary is a diamond. Let’s make the 10th a real gem of a giving day for our community!”

Give to Lincoln Day is a giving day event that encourages everyone to contribute to Lincoln and Lancaster County nonprofit organizations through a single online giving platform between May 1 and May 25. Every donation makes a bigger impact on Give to Lincoln Day because nonprofits also get a proportional share of a $500,000 match fund made possible by LCF, Presenting Sponsor West Gate Bank, and other generous sponsors. Donors may search nonprofits and give online at GiveToLincoln.com.

LCF recently announced the continuation of West Gate Bank’s Presenting Sponsorship for Give to Lincoln Day for the next three years. As a locally-owned community bank, West Gate President Carl Sjulin said giving back to Lincoln is an important part of their mission: “Our continued commitment to Give to Lincoln Day is one of the many ways we are investing back into the community in order to keep Lincoln growing and thriving. We are proud to partner with the Lincoln Community Foundation as the Presenting Sponsor for Give to Lincoln Day.”

The Lincoln Community Foundation strives to continually enrich the Lincoln community by promoting and achieving perpetual philanthropic support. For more information and to see a complete list of sponsors and information about donating, visit givetolincoln.com.
