Lincoln Community Foundation Presents Lincoln Littles Early Giving Day

In support of the Prosper Lincoln early childhood community agenda, Lincoln Community Foundation (LCF; www.LincolnForever.org) is hosting a special giving day to raise funds for early childhood education for children in need. On Tuesday, February 12, in celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, the community is invited to come together for the first ever Lincoln Littles Giving Day—a day to celebrate our namesake’s birthday by making a gift to Lincoln’s future. Gifts can be made online at LincolnLittles.org until 11:59 p.m. on February 12.

The goal of this 24 hours of online giving is to raise thousands of dollars for the Lincoln Littles Early Learning Fund, a new fund at Lincoln Community Foundation. Grants from W.K. Kellogg Foundation and Buffett Early Childhood Fund are seeding the new fund to catalyze additional fundraising in the community and create a sustainable giving program. Grants will be distributed to early childhood providers in Lincoln who meet the state guidelines for Step Up to Quality and serve low income children.

The Lincoln Community Foundation, established in 1955, strives to continually enrich the Lincoln community by promoting and achieving perpetual philanthropic support. The foundation currently manages $135 million in assets and has distributed more than $117 million in grants to non-profit organizations that have improved the lives of thousands of residents.
