Lincoln Community Foundation to Host Annual Give to Lincoln Day May 28
Lincoln’s annual giving day is scheduled for May 28. Although the current world situation is ever-changing, as an online day of giving, the event will not be impacted.
As nonprofits are in need of support now more than ever, the community is encouraged to come together on May 28 to support Lincoln’s nonprofit organizations and improve lives. Every donation made during May 1 to May 28 will help local charities even more because they will also receive a proportional share of the $500,000 challenge match fund. Give to Lincoln Day is the community’s chance to make a real impact on Lincoln’s quality of life. Everyone is encouraged to join in for a record-setting event on May 28.
Last year, Give to Lincoln Day raised a record-breaking $5,581,856 for 438 local nonprofits. Give to Lincoln Day aims to promote philanthropy in the city. By helping nonprofits raise funds, the day-long event helps them carry out their important work and supplements budgets, which are challenged to meet current demands. It also allows nonprofits to tell their stories and attract new donors. The Lincoln Community Foundation (givetolincoln.com) is currently researching alternative methods to their in-person Give to Lincoln Day trainings for nonprofits in April. Stay tuned for more information!
Gifts can be made online at givetolincoln.com beginning May 1 and will qualify for Give to Lincoln Day and matching funds.
