Lincoln South Rotary Club Awards Grant to Proyecto Cultural

The Lincoln South Rotary Club (www.lincolnsouthrotary.org) and The Rotary Foundation awards $1,000 to Proyecto Cultural.

Proyecto Cultural is dedicated to the preservation of Hispanic Culture. Through a select group of young leaders they bring exciting cultural enrichment programs to the community. The goal is to increase cultural awareness by providing enjoyable and significant educational performances, and to expand the diversity of the audience in a gang-free and drug-free environment.

This grant is part of a program that allows clubs to support local organizations. Club funds are matched through a program of The Rotary Foundation based on donations by the local clubs. Specifically this grant was used to help the dancers of Grupo Folklorico Sangre Azteca purchase costumes and materials for props.

Lincoln South Rotary is a Service Organization that supports a variety of activities. In addition to Proyecto Cultural, the club and its members recently supported Mourning Hope and the Dictionary Program (for all 4th Grade Students).
