Local business leaders are coming together to make a global impact. On Saturday, February 8, Morrow Collision Center will host an exclusive fundraiser organized by Renee Sobotka, owner of True North Technologies; Kevin Harrington of FUMA Financial; and Sara Mach of SERVPRO. The event aims to support Child Legacy International (CLI) (childlegacy.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and infant healthcare in Malawi, Africa.
CLI delivers over 200 babies each month and has drastically reduced the region’s maternal and infant mortality rates. However, the organization needs funding to complete a neonatal center to provide life-saving care for complicated deliveries. Currently, these cases are referred to government hospitals, where outcomes are often heartbreaking.
This grassroots effort combines the passion of Lincoln’s small business community with the spirit of giving. The event will feature casino gaming tables, dinner, live and silent auction and seeks to bring together 75 attendees who are not only generous but also deeply aware of the challenges faced in developing nations.
“We’re honored to rally support for such a meaningful cause while showcasing the power of local businesses coming together to create global change,” says Renee Sobotka. For tickets, sponsorships, or more information, contact Renee at renee.sobotka@outlook.com or (402) 968-5068.
