Lulu’s on N’s Nonprofit, Loaves and Fishes Announced as Recipient of $10K Grant

Loaves and Fishes, Inc., the nonprofit leg of LuLu’s on N (lulusonn.com), was notified in late June that they were the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). The funds will be used to provide meals to the homeless and at-risk members of the Lincoln community, as well as to purchase groceries and hygiene items to be provided at no charge to those in need. The grants are in response to the COVID-19 crisis and have been awarded to groups worldwide that are working to help those who have been negatively affected.

Since the walk-up restaurant opened, Lulu’s on N has been committed to serving anyone who is hungry, including the homeless and others unable to pay. They created the nonprofit, Loaves and Fishes, in order to better serve the community and have served hundreds at no cost since the start of the pandemic alone.

Lulu’s on N features fresh, made-from-scratch food and uses locally grown produce to create many of their menu offerings.
