LUX Center for the Arts proudly presents Allison McGowan’s, “The Tailored Surface”, which opens Friday, December 6th from 5- 8 p.m. and runs through December 24th. The works of Allison McGowan feature hand-built functional porcelain, some for everyday use and others are decorative. The LUX’s annual Wrappables: Art for Giving (& Getting) showroom will also be open for your shopping pleasure through December 24. Wrappables features a large selection of artist-made gifts at a variety of price ranges, including necklaces and earrings; ceramic mugs, plates, and teapots; scarves and gloves; landscape photographs, hand-blown glass bowls or ornaments, and original paintings. Buyers will be able to purchase and take works of art with them the same day. Finally, The LUX’s Winterfest event will take place December 8th from 1-4 p.m. This family event is free and open to the public.  Children and adults can make holiday themed cards, custom decorated hang-up calendars, bead their very own candy canes, create winter tree pop-ups, and create one-of-a-kind reindeer and elf hats.
