Make-A-Wish Nebraska Calls for Airline Miles Donations

Due to 75% of wishes requiring air travel, Make-A-Wish Nebraska (Nebraska.wish.org/ways-to-help/giving/airline-miles) recently made a call for donations to their Wishes in Flight Program. People can donate either points or miles from American Airlines, United, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, or Delta Air Lines to make a child’s wish come true. Cash donations are also welcome in order to fulfill as many Nebraska wishes as possible.

For children with critical illnesses, wish trips provide a much-needed escape for children from the grueling medical treatments and doctor visits. From Disney World to Broadway to visiting distant relatives, Make-A-Wish has an unmatched drive to make at least one dream come true for children fighting critical medical conditions. Airlines have also made a commitment to Make-A-Wish, promising that miles donated will never expire and will always go to supporting wishes across the country.

Every 34 minutes, Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a critical illness in the U.S. Make-A-Wish serves a unique role in helping strengthen and empower these children and their families during a time often clouded with worry.
