Matt Talbot Invites Lincoln to Donate Gift Cards for Housing Clients

This holiday season, Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach (mtko.org) is inviting individuals, community groups, and businesses to donate gift cards to help make the holiday special for individuals and families who are participating in the agency’s housing programs. Gift cards to any local business and in any amount are welcomed. Suggestions include: grocery store gift cards for holiday meals, Walmart or Target gift cards for toys or home needs, gas gift cards, and restaurant gift cards for families to use during the holidays.

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is a nonprofit organization that provides safe and stable housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Lincoln’s working poor and homeless through outreach, advocacy, education, and the provision of food and shelter. Their use of evidence-based and compassionate service delivery modules—including case management and assistance with finding quality, affordable housing—has helped hundreds of individuals and families in finding homes. So far, as many as 42 local landlords are participating in Matt Talbott’s Landlord Liaison Project, a community of landlords who offer affordable housing to the working poor.
